PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel advantageous to be downsized and to provide an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: A first drive mechanism 40 for moving a first movable lens frame 20 in the direction of the optical axis has a movable coil 42 and a magnet 44. The movable coil 42 is integrally disposed together with a bearing part 22 and configured such that a first main guide shaft 26 is inserted in a space defined inside the winding of it. The magnet 44 is mounted on a second sub-guide shaft 38 so as to face the movable coil 42. The first main guide shaft 26 is disposed opposite the magnet 44 and functions as an opposite yoke such that lines of magnetic force generated by the magnet 44 are guided so as to pass through the movable coil 42. The second sub-guide shaft 38 is disposed in contact with the magnet 44 and functions as a ground yoke such that lines of magnetic force generated by the magnet 44 are guided so as to pass through the movable coil 42.
