PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and rapid quantifying method of a sugar chain deficient IgA molecule, and a quantifying kit. SOLUTION: A sample containing a sugar chain is brought into contact with a carrier to which streptococcal IgA bonding peptide is fixed to bring a substance specifically bonded to the sugar chain into contact with the carrier. Then, the quantity of the substance bonded to the carrier is measured. Further, the quantifying kit is constituted of the streptococcal IgA bonding peptide, the carrier for fixing the streptococcal IgA bonding peptide and the substance specifically bonded to the sugar chain.
