PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the electrical characteristics of an electronic component with its electrodes disposed on a conductive substrate, as to an electronic component provided with electrodes constituting a prescribed electronic circuit on a conductive substrate with the electric potential of the conductive substrate used as reference potential for the electronic circuit. SOLUTION: In particular, an electrode 10 connected to the reference potential of the conductive substrate 6 is formed to extend over an insulating layer 11 and the conductive substrate 6 while a portion of the insulating layer 11 on the conductive substrate 6 side is formed out of a first insulating layer 13 made of crystalline glass. Upper-surface and side-surface portions of the insulating layer 11 for covering upper and side surfaces, respectively, of the insulating layer 13 are formed out of a second insulating layer 14 made of non-crystalline glass.
