PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the setting of a display layout of reference images and incidental information related to a radiographed image when outputting a medical image to an external device. SOLUTION: This medical image output device outputting the medical image and its incidental information to the external device stores imaging site database for the medical image, imaging protocol database of the medical image, and record display protocol database associating an imaging site of the imaging site database and an imaging protocol of the imaging protocol database, with a format for recording or displaying them on a record display medium of the external device in a hard disk 6. This medical image output device is provided with an output data creation means 8 selecting the record display protocol corresponding to the imaging site and the imaging protocol of the image to be output to the external device from the record display protocol database and creating data to be output to the external device based on the selected record and display protocol; and the data created by the data creation means are output to the external device.
