PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic diagnosis device for an elevator push button, automatically carrying out inspection of operation status of the push button. SOLUTION: The push button is provided with: a push button operation part operated by a finger or the like; a light emitting part 52 provided to radiate light toward the push button operation part; and a light receiving part 55 provided to receive the light from the light emitting part. In the push button, normally, the light receiving part detects the light from the light emitting part. When the push button operation part is operated, light from the light emitting part is shielded to actuate the light receiving part to register the push button operated, and the light emitting part is turned on as a response lamp. In automatic inspection of the push button, the light emitting part is electrically turned off, and operation status of a signal circuit in the rear of the light receiving part are confirmed.
