PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step device for a vehicle capable of putting a step in/out based on an opening/closing operation of a vehicle door by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This step device is provided with a slide door driving unit 21, an opening/closing mechanism 29 for transmitting power of the slide door driving unit 21 to a slide door 2 to open/close the slide door 2, and a putting in/out mechanism 35 for transmitting the power of the slide door driving unit 21 via the opening/closing mechanism 29 to a movable step 4 to put the movable step 4 in/out.
