PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a decorative molded object which can manufacture the decorative molded object with highly presentable appearance. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the decorative molded object with a decoration applied by directly printing on the surface of a molded first base material 20, comprises the following steps in molding the first base material 20: a formation step to form a recessed part 21b in a part L concealed by a second decorative part 50 in the first base material 20 as it is ready for use, a printing step to form a first decorative part 30 with a wood grain pattern by directly printing on the surface of the first base material 20 using the recessed part 21b as a reference, and a concealing step to form the second decorative part 50 by concealing a part of the first base material 20 and a second base material 40 with leather.
