PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent beforehand inferiority of printing from generating caused by dust generation at a part of a power transmission mechanism for a squeegee. SOLUTION: This screen printing apparatus has a head 6 which supports the squeegee 41 and moves this squeegee 41 back and forth relatively along a mask sheet 4. A second supporting shaft 34 intersecting at right angles to its moving direction is provided on the head 6, and the squeegee 41 is rotatably supported by this second supporting shaft 34 through a unit assembling member 32. In addition, on the head 6, a servo motor 51 as a driving source, a reduction gear 52 and gears 46-49 (the power transmission mechanism) for transmitting rotation of the motor after reduction of the speed to the unit assembling member 32, are provided.
