A motorized roller incorporating a driving motor for driving the roller and accompanied with a motor driving circuit for driving the motor, including a lock detecting means adapted to detect a lock of at least one selected from the driving motor and the motorized roller and a power control means adapted to control electric power supplied to the driving motor, wherein the control means is adapted to reduce the electric power supplied to the driving motor upon detection of the lock of the at least one by the lock detecting means.
