Device for determining scalar or vector values in a space, characterised in that said device (1) essentially comprises a portable measuring apparatus (2) that can be manipulated by hand, with at least one measuring element (3) for measuring said scalar or vector values at successive points in space; means (5) for recording the values measured; means (6) for determining and recording data concerning the position and/or orientation of the measuring apparatus (2) or measuring element (3) at the moment of each measurement; means (10) for connecting said recorded values and data, either in processed form or otherwise, or for synchronising them with each other; and means (11) for displaying the connected values and data, in order to create a spatial representation of said values.
