A ventilation apparatus is provided to manipulate a control handle right and left to rotate a cylinder damper by predetermined angles and drive a motor assembly to force air flow through a path formed in the cylinder damper, thereby introducing or discharging air into a room or to the outside as necessary. A ventilation apparatus includes a casing(100) for guiding inside or outside air flow. Ventilation holes(122) are formed through both sides of front and rear surfaces of the casing to serve as inlets/outlets of room air or atmospheric air. Cylinder dampers(200) are mounted at both sides in the casing for guiding directions of air flow. A wind direction control unit is connected between the cylinder dampers for operating the cylinder dampers in association with each other and rotate the cylinder dampers by predetermined angles to determine air flow directions. The wind direction control unit has link rods(520) eccentrically mounted to the cylinder dampers at both ends to connect the cylinder dampers, a control handle(540) exposed to the outside for user's manipulation, and a connection plate(560) connected to the control handle and the link rods for carrying out motion of the link rod in association with the manipulation of the control handle. A fan motor assembly(300) is mounted at a side of the casing for blowing inside or outside air through the casing forcibly.
