<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary seat for a pet in which a family member together with the pet can be seated in a seat 3 without any deviation or slackness in a pet cover 9 caused by the move-around of the pet 11 or any pull or breakage of a string 10 supporting an end of the seat. <P>SOLUTION: A pet cover is not deviated and any string for supporting an end of a seat is not required even when the pet moves around by the effect of a hook-and-loop fastener (R) provided on an upper face of a box-shaped base 5 provided on a floor in front of the seat, a face side of a seat cover 6 for a substrate covered on a backrest 1, and a back side of the pet cover 7 to cover the face side, and mud deposited on the pet cover is not dropped on the seat by the deviation or the slackness of the cover or the breakage of the string.
