<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a toner image on an entire surface of a recording material without cutting a margin at a peripheral edge of the recording material without staining a transfer member. <P>SOLUTION: Toner images in a plurality of colors formed on a photoreceptor drum 1 are primarily transferred to an intermediate transfer belt 5 and then are collectively secondarily transferred onto a recording material P by applying a transfer vias from a high voltage power source 12 to a secondary transfer roller 10. When forming a toner image on the entire surface of the recording material, a charging bias having the same polarity as the transfer bias is applied to recording material charging rollers 16 and 17 from a high voltage power source 18, to earth the secondary roller 10. The toner image larger than the recording material P, on the intermediate transfer belt 5 is transferred to the entire surface of the recording material P by an inductive current generated in the charged recording material P carried to a secondary transfer part T2, and the toner image protruding from the recording paper P does not pollute the secondary transfer roller 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
