<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compound corrected portions of an image at high speed with no gap when an image of arbitrary resolution is acquired even if an image is corrected partially in a system having data of a plurality of resolutions. <P>SOLUTION: A removing image is created using a median filter of 5×5 only in a selected region. After a correction range is calculated using a mask of the region selected by a brush (S803), a mask image is scanned vertically and horizontally to specify the correction range. It is adjusted to such a value as the position and the size become multiples of 16 while including that region (S804).
