<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type electric water heater preventing heating without water of a heater by preventing energization until the heater is submerged, preventing electrolysis of water in a hot water storage tank 12, and preventing false detection due to change of water quality. <P>SOLUTION: The storage type electric water heater is provided with a flange 22 detachably fixed to cover an opening of the hot water storage tank 12, the heater 23 provided on the flange 22 to protrude into the hot water storage tank 12, a float 25 of magnetic material attached so it can move in an axial direction to a guide shaft 24 provided in a neighborhood of a face in a heater protruding side of the flange 22, a magnetic sensor 26 provided in a position higher than the heater 23 on an opposite face in the heater protruding side of the flange 22, and detecting a magnetic flux of the float 25 and outputting a signal when the float 25 rises to the position when service water is poured into the hot water storage tank 12, and a control part 16 controlling energization to the heater 23 when the signal from the magnetic sensor 26 is inputted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
