PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which enables the miniaturization of a part for attaching and detaching a portion of the proximal end part side of an insertion part and a portion to be attached to and detached from this and facilitates the attachment/detachment of the portion of the proximal end part side of the insertion part and the portion to be attached to and detached from this. SOLUTION: Lead screws 56a-56d and nut members 62a-62d to be screwed to respective lead screws 56a-56d are disposed in a wire operation part 52 for operating a wire 14 for bending operation of a curved part 10. A driving force generating means 19, a driving coupling shaft 37 to be rotatably driven in the direction around the axis by the driving force from the driving force generating means 19, and driving couplings 31a-31d are disposed in a driving source unit 8B attachably and detachably connected to the wire operation part 52. When the driving source unit 8B and the wire operation part 52 are connected, the lead screws 56a-56d are rotatably driven in the direction around the axis from the driving force generating means 19 via the driving coupling shaft 37, the nut members 62a-62d are moved in the axial direction, and pulling operation of the wire 14 is performed.
