PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing system for enabling the quick extraction of a desired object image. SOLUTION: In the photographing system provided with: a transmission apparatus arranged in the vicinity of an object and transmitting object information associated with the object; a reception section capable of receiving the object information transmitted from the transmission apparatus, and a photographing apparatus for associating the object information received by the reception section with image data representing the object image obtained by photographing the object through a photographing lens and storing the resulting data in a memory, the transmission apparatus transmits the object information in a prescribed direction, and the photographing apparatus includes the reception section capable of receiving the object information from the transmission apparatus within a prescribed range around the optical axis of the photographing lens, and the object information received by the reception section is stored while being associated with the image data.
