PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver capable of preventing a desirably viewed program from being overlooked. SOLUTION: The television receiver includes: a tuner for receiving a television broadcast signal; an image display means for displaying a television image; a program reservation setting section 715 including a control board which sets viewing reservation information including channel information and time information used for displaying a desired television program on the image display means at a desired date and time; an input signal detection section 711 for detecting a power-off signal of the television receiver; and a viewing reservation revision section 717 for urging selection whether the viewing reservation information set by the program reservation setting section 715 is cancelled, the reservation is revised into automatic power-on reservation, or revised into the video recording reservation information when the detection section 711 detects the power-off signal.
