LINE ILLUMINATION APPARATUS AND IMAGE ACQUISITION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line illumination apparatus and an image acquisition system uniformly illuminating an illumination area throughout with sufficient illuminance with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The line illumination apparatus comprises: a light guide 2 made of a transparent member in the shape of a bar; and a light source 3 provided at a first end part of the transparent member in the longitudinal direction. The light guide 2 comprises; a scattering mark 5 for scattering light transmitted from the light source 3; a light exit surface 4 for allowing the light scattered by the scattering mark 5 to exit outside the transparent member; and a reflection part 7 which is provided in the vicinity of the first end part 2 and intercepts transmission to a second end part facing the first end part 2, of the light emitted from the light source 3 and reflects the intercepted light so as to allow the intercepted light to exit from the light exit surface in the vicinity of the light source.
