PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating state display device of automobile having purposes for reducing an amount of consumption of gasoline for the automobile, reducing an amount of exhaust gas and being aware of a driver's safety operation. SOLUTION: One operative running is divided into two or more segments, operative states such as acceleration or deceleration for every segment is marked to be subtracted when a rapid deceleration is carried out to display its point, a degree of acceleration or deceleration during running is always monitored, its level display is carried out in such a way that the most suitable economy operation may be performed and at the same time when an improper acceleration and braking operations are carried out, the display is illuminated to display its warning state. Further, one operative running is divided into two or more segments to mark the operating state of acceleration or deceleration for every segment and whether or not the suitable operative operation as an economy operation is performed for every segment is displayed with its point. This enables an operating state display device for an automobile to be provided so as to attain some purposes for reducing an amount of consumption of fuel of an automobile, a discharging amount of exhaust gas and improving a driver's awareness of safety driving.
