PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a roller cleaning device of a printing machine, especially to increase the ease of maintenance. SOLUTION: The roller cleaning device of the printing machine is provided with a cleaning roller 2 driven by a pressure contact with a printing machine roller 1, a scraper 4 biting the surface of the cleaning roller 2 and the recovery pan 6 which collects dirt or smudges scratched from the cleaning roller 2 by the scraper 4. The scraper 4 is attached to the recovery pan 6 which in turn is attached to the cleaning roller 2 with relative movements free, and in accordance with the relative movements of the recovery pan 6 at prescribed intervals of time, the scraper 4 repeats biting on- and off-motions of the surface of the cleaning roller 2.
