PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sprocket reducible in collision sound when engaged with a chain without newly adding separate parts. SOLUTION: The sprocket 3 has a cutout 30a formed at the tip part of each tooth 30 to substantially extend in a radial direction. In this case, if the chain collides against the tooth 30 when engaged with the chain, the tooth 30 is elastically deformed in a circumferential direction to escape from the chain.
