PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear pump capable of improving sealability while reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: This gear pump has a driving side gear pivotally supported by a driving shaft, a driven side gear pivotally supported by a driven shaft, a pump assembly composed of a pair of side plates arranged on both sides in the axial direction of the driving shaft and the driven shaft and a seal block sealing an addendum of the gear and forming a first oil chamber by butting with the side plates, and a casing for storing and installing the pump assembly and forming a second oil chamber. A rib is arranged in at least one member of the side plated or the seal block, and is arranged for partitioning the first oil chamber and the second oil chamber by being plastically deformed by mutually pressing both.
