METHOD FOR CALCULATING A USAGE INDEX USING A USAGE RECORD OF THE USER TERMINAL AND APPARATUS THEREOF

A method and an apparatus for calculating a usage index by using usage record of a user terminal are provided to indicate the usage index by extracting data transceived between specific users using the user terminal and processing the extracted data in a preset method, thereby promoting communication usage of users and contributing to development of communication industry. A method for calculating a usage index by using usage record of a user terminal comprises the following steps of: receiving the usage record of voice or data calls transceived between the user terminal and a terminal of another predetermined user-wherein the usage record of voice or data calls includes at least one of voice call volume, the number of voice calls, the number of SMS(Short Message Service) messages and the number of MMS(Multimedia Message System) messages(S310); storing the received usage record of voice or data calls in an analysis database(S310); extracting the stored usage record of voice or data calls(S320); and calculating the usage index of the user terminal according to a predetermined index equation by using the extracted usage record of voice or data calls(S330).
