A sequential seeking method of a hard disk drive, a hard disk drive proper to the method and a record medium proper thereto are provided to make it possible to process sequential seeking within a requested time even though the sequential seeking is carried out in two servo tracks. A cylinder number of a current track is compared with that of a target track and thereby seeking length is calculated(S602). It is checked whether the seeking length specified by the cylinder number is smaller than 2(S604). If the seeking length is smaller than 2, a head position of a current data track is compared with a central line position of a target data track and thereby seeking length is calculated(S606). A seeking time correspondent to the seeking length specified by the head position is calculated(S608). Based on the seeking length specified by the head position and the seeking time correspondent thereto, seeking tracks are calculated(S610). With the seeking tracks, electric current applied to a voice coil motor is controlled.
