<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst, by which the activity of the catalyst after the test for endurance can be restrained from being deteriorated, and to provide the exhaust gas cleaning catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the exhaust gas cleaning catalyst comprises the steps of: dispersing many noble metal particles 3 with the surroundings protected by an organic molecule 2, in a dispersion medium 1 to prepare a noble metal colloidal solution 4; dissolving a carrier precursor 6 in an organic solvent 5, heating/agitating the carrier precursor-dissolved solvent, throwing the compound 7 of a promoter component in the heated/agitated solvent and heating/agitating the compound-thrown solvent to prepare a solution 8; mixing the prepared noble metal colloidal solution 4 with the prepared solution 8 to obtain a mixture; hydrolyzing the obtained mixture to obtain a gel; drying the obtained gel 9 under reduced pressure; and firing the dried gel in an oxidizing atmosphere to obtain catalyst powder 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
