<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-spread inhibitor peeling method which can easily peel a hardened substance of applied fire-spread inhibitor, in a short time, regardless of the type of the inhibitor and the applied surface, and without damaging the surrounding of a cable, tray or the like, and is safe for workers and the environment. <P>SOLUTION: The compressed air 11, sent from a compressed air supply device 1 via a pressure hose 2, is supplied to a vortex tube 3 and cools and makes the fire-spread inhibitor 9 embrittled that is coated on the cable 8 extending on the cable tray 7, using the low-temperature air 6, discharged through the low-temperature ejection nozzle 13 provided at one end of the vortex tube 3. Then, by applying mechanical impacts on the fire-spread inhibitor 9 the inhibitor is destroyed, and the fragments of the inhibitor 9 are blown off by the compressed air 11 ejected through the compressed air ejection nozzle 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
