PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which have proper temperature characteristics in an optical element module and an optical transmitter that use it. SOLUTION: In the optical element module 100, where a semiconductor laser element 2 is stored in airtight condition and which couples the light from the semiconductor laser element 2 with a fiber 5 by optical coupling systems 3 and 5, the coupling systems 3 and 5 displace the optical coupling position in the direction of the optical axis by an amount that corrects the temperature characteristics of the laser element 2 at 25°C, when the semiconductor laser 2 has the temperature characteristics of its output.
