PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously ventilate a habitable space and installation environment while efficiently utilizing heat energy of the habitable space and the installation environment. SOLUTION: This heat exchange type ventilating device 12 is mounted inside of the building 11 and comprises a heat exchanging element 32 capable of exchanging heat between airs in two air passages A, B formed therein, a supply passage S for supplying the outside air OA to the habitable space 13 through one of the passages A in the heat exchanging element 32, and a discharge passage E for taking return air RA and discharging the same to the outside of a building 11 through the other passage B in the heat exchanging element 32. This ventilating device further has a first introduction port 52 capable of taking the air RA' of the installation environment and communicating with a downstream position with respect to the heat exchanging element 32, of the discharge passage E, and a second introduction port 53 capable of taking the air RA' and communicating with an upstream position with respect to the heat exchanging element 32, of the discharge passage E, and both introduction ports 52 can be selectively opened.
