PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deposit accumulated on a shielding member from continuously depositing between a pair of lead wires an order to prevent a short circuit occurring between each lead wire. SOLUTION: This fluorescent lamp includes an electrode part provided in an arc tube in which a phosphor film is formed in an inner surface. The electrode part has the pair of lead wires 11, a lead support part 13 for supporting a base end part of each lead wire 11, a filament 12 provided over between each lead wire 11, and the shielding member 15 provided over between each lead wire 11 and made of an insulating material shielding the deposit 14 adhering to the lead support part 13.
