PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a helmet demounting a front brim and stabilizing the mounted front brim. SOLUTION: The helmet is obtained by freely demountably mounting the front brim 2 relatively to the hat-like helmet body 1. An oblong protrusion 4 is provided in the central rear end of the front brim 2 and engaged with an oblong engaging hole 3 formed in the front end face of the helmet body 1. Engaging pawls 5 are protruded toward the rear in both the right and the left ends of the front brim 2 and inserted into engaging holes 6 provided on both right and left sides of the helmet body 1. Engaging stepped parts 7 engaging and disengaging from the engaging pawls 5 are formed in the interior of the engaging holes 6 into which the engaging pawls 5 are inserted. Thereby, the front brim 2 mounted from the front of the helmet body 1 is engaged in three sites with good stability by engagement of the protrusion 4 with the engaging hole 3 in the front end face and the engaging pawls 5 with the engaging holes 6 in both the right and left sides.
