PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroforming roll as a roll original plate for electroforming for making a beltlike transferring die material used in the case patterns by fine ruggedness of the interference fringe of light (hologram), pictures or photographs are mass-produced at a high speed as the influence of clogging is evaded, and to provide a method for producing the electroforming roll. SOLUTION: The inner circumferential face of a holder 32 is equipped with a metal thin sheet 31 provided with the existing clear fine ruggedness, so as to be coated, thus a titanium based coating layer 34 is formed. The coating layer 34 is provided with a backing layer 36, so as to be reinforced. Thereafter, the metal thin sheet 31 is dissolved, thus the electroforming roll in which the titanium based coating layer 34 is provided with clear fine ruggedness, and which is reinforced by the backing layer 36 and has excellent durability is produced.
