PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of comparing the scale of a diagnostic image with that of a reference image and easily and intuitively understanding the scale of a measured result. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises: a probe 11 for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves; a diagnostic image data generation means 13 for generating diagnostic image data from ultrasonic wave signals received by the probe; a scale information addition means 14 for adding scale information to the diagnostic image data; a diagnostic image data storage means 15 for storing the diagnostic image data to which the scale information is added; a reference image data storage means 16 for preserving reference image data to which the scale information is added; a size adjustment means 17 for adjusting the size of at least one of the diagnostic image and the reference image on the basis of the scale information of the diagnostic image data and the reference image data; and a display means 18 for displaying a plurality of images whose image size is adjusted.
