Hyper-elastic rope spring to be used as ligament replacement or in humanoid robot, braided of specifically prepared rovings

The artificial ligament used as a replacement to be inserted into the human body or used in a humanoid robot is made of rovings (2) assembled of multitudes of individual fibers. The dry rovings (2) can be braided (1) in an untwisted condition (2) resulting in a comparatively rigid rope. In a second version the rovings are twisted before braiding and in a third version the braid is provided with wrapped cord. In more versions the twisted or untwisted rovings (2) are coated with a polymer layer either before or after braiding.
