<p>In a calender (4) with a roller stack (5 - 9) including at least one working gap between two rollers (5, 6, 7) for treating a fibrous sheet (1), at least one roller (9) being a cooled roller, the sheet is coolable at the periphery of at least one cooled roller via a long nip. An independent claim is included for a method for cooling a fibrous sheet (1) transported on a calender (4) and to be wound into a roll, in which the sheet is cooled in a long nip while passing through the calender or at the outlet of the calender.</p> |
