PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device excellent in the characteristics, such as luminous efficiency and an electronic apparatus having high reliability equipped with the light emitting device. SOLUTION: The light emitting device comprises a light emitting layer 42 composed of a first organic semiconductor material; a hole transporting layer (career transporting layer) 41, constituted by a second organic semiconductor material in contact with the light emitting layer 42; and particles 411 containing a second organic semiconductor material (organic semiconductor material for constituting another layer) which are brought into contact with both the light emitting layer 42 and the hole transporting layer 41, and also which are arranged so that the all or part may be embedded in the light emitting layer 42 (one layer).
