PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a heating unit capable of applying light in a desired direction by reducing the amount of decrease in heating efficiency. SOLUTION: The heating unit comprises a rod-like heater 4, comprising at least a heat generation section and a glass tube including the heat generation section; a foil-like reflection member 5 for reflecting radiant heat applied from the rod-like heater 4; and a fixing member 6 for fixing the reflection member 5 on the outer-periphery surface of the rod-like heater 4. In the heating unit, the fixing member 6 uses a metal wire, and the reflection member 5 is fixed at a plurality of locations to the longitudinal direction of the rod-like heater 4 by the metal wire.
