PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of preventing the generation of moire of a particular print pattern. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: a data entry means for entering pattern data denoting effective or ineffective pixels; a pattern conversion table storage means for storing a pattern conversion table wherein the order of validating pixels is defined on a processing object matrix; a discrimination means for obtaining a pattern period of the received pattern data and discriminating whether or not the pattern period is a prescribed threshold or smaller; a density value calculation means for calculating a density value of the received pattern data by counting the number of effective pixels of the input pattern data in the processing object matrix when the pattern period is the prescribed threshold or smaller; and a pattern conversion means for converting the input pattern data into converted pattern data whose density value is the same as the density value of the input pattern data by referencing the pattern conversion table.
