PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the resistance against eccentric wear and the traction performance by limiting concretely the shape of transverse grooves, groove bottom bulges, etc. SOLUTION: A heavy duty tire is structured so that groove bottom bulges 12 and 13 stretching in the longitudinal direction are formed in the transverse grooves 7 and 9. The bottom bulges 12 and 13 include main parts 12a and 13a having a certain height and slopes 12b and 13b formed on both sides of each in such an arrangement that the height lessens gradually. Therein the conditions according to Formulae (I) 0°≤α<β<45°and (II) a<b<c should be met, whereα°is the inclining angle of the central part 7a of the center transverse groove 7 to the tire axial direction whileβ°is the inclining angle of the central part of the shoulder transverse groove to the tire axial direction, and a in mm is the length in the tire axial direction of the inner slope 12bi of the bottom bulge at the inner end in the tire axial direction of the center transverse groove 7, b in mm is the length in tire axial direction of the outer slope 12bo of the bulge 12 at the outer end in the tire axial direction of the center transverse groove 7, and c in mm is the length in tire axial direction of the inner slope 13bi of the bottom bulge 13 at the inner end in the tire axial direction of the shoulder transverse groove 9.
