PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption and prevent backlash during movement of a lens holder. SOLUTION: A lens moving mechanism includes: the lens holder 8 holding a movable lens 7 within a lens barrel 2 and supported so as to be freely moved in the direction of the optical axis of the movable lens; guide shafts 21 for guiding the lens holder in the direction of the optical axis of the movable lens; a drive magnet 18 attached to the lens holder; a drive coil 23 at least part of which is fixed to the lens barrel so as to face the drive magnet and which is supplied with power, thereby applying a driving force to the lens holder in the direction of an optical axis; and a magnetic body 22 which is positioned opposite to the drive magnet on the opposite side of the drive magnet across at least a part of the drive coil fixed to the lens barrel, and attracts the drive magnet toward the magnetic body 22.
