PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a zoom microscope enabling a user to easily confirm a zoom magnification consecutively changed based on zoom variable power operation in real time and served for observation at the same magnification as the previous one. SOLUTION: By detecting the moving position of a zoom movable part, for example, a cam shaft 26 in a zoom variable power mechanism 30 with the zoom variable power operation by manually operating zoom handles 9a and 9b by means of an encoder plate 31 and a cam shaft encoder 32, acquiring a zoom magnification value based on information on the detected movable position and displaying and outputting it on a display part 42, the zoom magnification consecutively changed based on the manual operation is easily confirmed in real time.
