PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform multiple-stage operation while inexpensively switching heating capacities with a simple constitution without flickering a heating element, when a power distribution ratio of a heating element unit employing a carbon resistance heating element is controlled. SOLUTION: This electric stove comprises a stove main body 21 opened at its front face, a reflecting plate 22 mounted in the stove main body, the heating element unit 25 composed of the carbon resistance heating element 24 mounted on a front part of the reflecting plate and a tubular body 23 covering an outer periphery of the resistance heating element, and a power distribution control means 27 for controlling the power distribution ratio to the heating element unit. As the power distribution control means 27 can distribute electric power to the heating element unit with an intermediate power distribution ratio between 1/2 power distribution and full power distribution besides two-stage switching of 1/2 power distribution and full power distribution, by controlling the power distribution ratio to alternately perform 1/2 power distribution and full power distribution by every constant time, the electric stove can be easily alternately switched stronger and weaker in multiple-stage.
