PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a heat-treatment furnace in which the whole body of heat-treatment objective material is uniformly subjected to gas-cooling by increasing the cooling effect to a specified site as necessary. SOLUTION: The heat-treatment furnace comprises a stirring machine 3 for sucking and discharging cooling gas to be introduced into a gas-cooling space 20; a first reflux duct 25 which makes to flow the cooling gas blown out toward the heat-treatment objective material W set in the gas-cooling space 20 to introduce the cooling gas into the stirring machine 3; a second reflux duct 26 which makes to flow the cooling gas blown out toward the heat-treatment objective material W into the different direction from the first reflux duct 25 to introduce the cooling gas into the stirring machine 3; a first adjusting mechanism 28 for adjusting the cooling gas volume sucked into the stirring machine 3 through the first reflux duct 25; and a second adjusting mechanism 29 for adjusting the cooling gas volume sucked into the stirring machine 3 through the second reflux duct 26.
