PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively carry out cleaning of a recording head by a blade in the constitution of the inkjet recording head wherein a plurality of relatively short recording element substrates are arranged on a supporting member. SOLUTION: A dummy substrate H1600 is arranged at a position adjacent to the recording element substrate H1100. A delivering opening forming face forms a continuous surface which becomes substantially flat via a top face of the dummy substrate, so that a large step is not generated. In the case of cleaning the delivering opening forming face, continuously stable wiping can be carried out without giving a damage to the blade and without generating a pool of ink.
