Non-rail vehicle, especially a truck for use in open cast mining has a pantograph (2b) for power supply from a two pole overhead line (4b), whereby a sensor is provided for determining the position of the pantograph relative to the overhead line. The sensor is connected to a display unit that can be seen by the driver and shows the position of the pantograph and or is connected to a control unit for the automatic steering of the vehicle.
