A tool holder clamping unit used in a main shaft apparatus is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by making parts common except the tool holder clamping unit when manufacturing a working machine having a different clamp specification. In a tool holder clamping unit used in a main shaft apparatus, a clamp structure is installed inside of a plurality of cylindrical cases(23,31) to clamp a tool holder(21). A drawing bar(36) clamps or unclamps the clamp structure for a rear end portion of a cylindrical case. The drawing bar is slid within a predetermined stroke range. A rotating prevention unit prevents a relative rotation between the cylindrical case and the drawing bar. And, an operation unit is installed between a rear end surface of the cylindrical case and a spring bearing unit adhered to the rear end surface of the drawing bar to operate the drawing bar in the direction to the clamp.
