<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a high definition image less in image loss by shortening a response period of time from a screen update request to an image display. <P>SOLUTION: In a system in which a personal computer (PC) 2 and a projector 3 are connected through a communication path 4, the PC 2 includes a data transmission apparatus 10. The data transmission apparatus 10 includes; a screen data acquiring circuit 21 for acquiring an image data of a screen display screen; a memory 22 and a memory 23 for storing pixel data for one frame; a difference detecting circuit 24 for detecting a differential area by comparing the image data; a differential information memory 25 for storing the detected differential information; a data compression circuit 26 for compressing the data by a plurality of compression systems; an estimation determination circuit 27 for estimating data capacity after compression; a switch 28 for switching the image data to the data compression circuit 26; and a transmission circuit 29 for transmitting the compression data. The capacity after the compression according to the compression system is estimated, and the response time for updating the image is reduced by transmitting the image data compressed by lossy compression, and the image data compressed by the lossless compression is transmitted again for interpolation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
