<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system wherein a mobile phone at a person to be monitored can easily be operated by an elderly person and a child, a monitoring mode can be activated from both a monitoring person and the person to be monitored at a proper time, and the monitoring person and the person to be monitored can execute conversation while viewing the expression of the faces and the figures of both the people. <P>SOLUTION: The side of the person to be monitored is provided with: an externally mounted display apparatus 22 provided separately from a display apparatus D of the mobile phone 21 at the side of the person to be monitored and displaying a moving picture from a mobile phone 11 at the monitoring person side; an externally mounted microphone 231 provided separately from a microphone M of the mobile phone 21 at the side of the person to be monitored and for transmitting a picked-up voice to the mobile phone 11 at the monitoring person side; an externally mounted speaker 240 provided separately from a speaker S of the mobile phone 21 at the side of the person to be monitored and for sounding out the voice from the mobile phone 11 at the monitoring person side; and an operation box 23 including a switch that generates a monitoring mode activating signal and transmits the monitoring mode activating signal to the mobile phone 21 at the side of the person to be monitored to activate the mobile phone 21 at the side of the person to be monitored in the monitoring mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
