PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a product yield by preventing battery performance from decreasing.

SOLUTION: There are provided a battery element 210, where a bipolar electrode 270 in which a positive electrode layer and a negative electrode layer are formed on one surface and the other of a collector, respectively, and a prescribed number of electrolyte layers 230 for performing ion exchange between the bipolar electrodes are laminated alternately; and a laminating thickness absorption member 260 for absorbing distortion in a lamination direction while being interposed between the battery elements, thus forming a power generation element 160 by alternately laminating the plurality of battery elements 210 via the laminating thickness absorption member.
