<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for dealing with data. <P>SOLUTION: The data are decomposed into a plurality of resolution levels (150) by using integer wavelet decomposition. A data stream (260) with a plurality of the resolution levels is edited in a prescribed order.
